US 91 Las Vegas ACSC California highway road sign 1926 auto club AAA diamond 12
Route 91 Las Vegas mileage sign. Up for sale today is this US Route 91 Las Vegas combination route marker and mileage sign. This sign would have been found in California, somewhere in the Mojave Desert 63 miles from Las Vegas, Nevada. US 91 followed roughly the same path between Las Vegas and Southern California as I-15 does in the present day. Made to the exact standards used by the Auto Club of Southern California throughout their area of operations, which at their peak extended as far as Texas. The sign is flat printed on steel, with completely accurate layout and fonts. It weighs about 3 lb. And is 12 by 12 inches. If you would like a different size or route number, please do not hesitate to inquire. This is a high quality, heavy steel, non-reflective sign – perfect for indoor or outdoor display. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection. This one will make even the most discerning collector stick their nose into the sign, as it looks that good from that close! I can of course make these signs with any route number of your choice, and not just this style, but older and newer ones, and even the classic mileage, direction, and city limit guide signs from bygone eras. Anything you would like, made with unsurpassed quality right here in the good old US of A, packed with care, and mailed from zip code 61833. Life doesn’t happen along the interstates. Help Prevent Fires California Forestry 1913 CSAA road sign auto club diamond 29
Help Prevent Fires sign. Up for sale today is this Help Prevent Fires sign from the California Board of Forestry. The Board of Forestry in California was formed in 1905. The sign is made to the approximately 1913 specification of the California State Auto Association, with the logo at the bottom (as well as the association name at the sides) and with sharp corners. Later generations changed to rounded corners for safety, in case an unexpected kinetic event caused the darn thing to come flying through the windshield. The sign is 18 1/2 inches on a side (approximately 29 inches across the long axis, and 23 up and down the short axis), and weighs 8 pounds, 12 ounces. The original of these signs exists in a private collection and is not going anywhere. This is a high quality, heavy steel remake that has the same high gloss and is indistinguishable from the original early 1910s porcelain sign. Would you like a number not seen here? Or perhaps a different style? I can of course make these signs with any verbiage of your choice, and not just this style, but others with the reflectors, the embossed style that other states used, and even the classic mileage, direction, and route shield signs from the era.
