Excellent mid century modern metal wall art by the legendary designers Curtis Jere for Artisan House. This large wall piece is a depiction of a suspension bridge similar to the Golden Gate Bridge with a boat. The metal artwork is signed and dated in multiple places with c. Jere 1970 in black marker on the front and c. Jere engraved on metal on the back. The boat may be missing a spot to hang. The artwork has a great patina from age and has some wear all over. 2 of the O hooks have broken off the back for hanging. Will need new ones welded, but can still be hung. 29″ by 5″ and has a 2 rise. The advertising measures appr. 17 3/4″ by 5″. Condition makes this a fun one to represent as it is real crispy. It has strong paint. The maker’s name is on the back. There is some minor scratching and a wee bit of paint loss on the left hand side. It has a small little paint fleck on the coffee cup. This was in a ma and pa grocery store for years in northern Minnesota. I have never seen one or had one before. It is a real blazer. Vintage Oval Bubble Sun Drop Golden Girl Cola Metal Soda Pop Sign Coffee 42×29
Here is a very early sign I would say from the 1940’s. This sign is a bubble oval. The sign has the graphic of a coffee cup in the center, and there is the bottle cap in the center of it, with the wording of Golden Girl Cola. There is other advertising wording surrounding the coffee mug in the center. The inside of the green area of the oval is in very nice shape with very minor paint ware rub, the outer cream colored rim has some minor paint wear, minor chipping on the edges, and some minor discoloration, overall this is a very nice sign. The piece measures 42 inches wide and 29 inches tall.
