Texas Ranch Road 1 route marker. Up for sale today is this Texas Ranch Road 1 highway sign. Made to the exact 1965 standards used for the Farm to Market road system, when the design was first changed to the black square with white text, still in use today. Technically, Ranch Road 1 is not part of the Farm to Market/Ranch to Market road system, but a special designation serving Lyndon B. Johnson’s former ranch near Stonewall. An original of these is very rare to find scrapped; most of them enjoy their active service on the highway and the side streets. So here is your chance to own an excellent display piece, without chancing a run-in with the Texas Rangers. The sign is 12 by 12 inches, and weighs 3 lb. This is a high quality, heavy steel sign. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection. This one will make even the most discerning collector stick their nose into the sign, as it looks that good from that close! Vintage Lone Star Feeds Texas Advert Feed Seed Metal Farm Ranch Sign 36X24

I bought this sign in Texas, and was told that it came from a feed store. In the center of the sign there is the large wording of Lone Star , with the smaller wording of Feed and Fertilizer at the bottom. Surrounding the wording there is the red and blue design along with the graphic of a star in the lower center. Across the top of the piece there is the name of Nicholson Cattle Co. Here is a great sign to add to the collection, the sign has some surface rust, discoloration, staining, overall still a great display sign. It measures 24 inches tall and 36 inches wide. This would be a great decor piece for your beer man cave.
