Very nice unrestored 100% original California license plate. 1916, with 1919 renewal. 13 by 5 inches; blue legend on white background. Completely straight and flat, with excellent original porcelain as seen in the photos. Fresh out of the barn! Matching number on the star tab. A natural 1919 issue: they finished up 1918 at number 485,000 or so. Porcelain plates are fragile, because the coating is literally glass fused to the steel.
