California CSAA Dixon Sacramento Vacaville Lincoln Highway road sign 29×22
To maximize the chance your signs will arrive before Christmas, please order before December 5! Dixon, Sacramento, Vacaville, San Francisco highway sign. Up for sale today is this Dixon, Sacramento, Vacaville, San Francisco sign, as would have appeared on the Lincoln Highway long ago. The sign is made to the 1919 specification of the California State Auto Association, with the logo at the bottom (as well as the association name at the sides) and with sharp corners. Later generations changed to rounded corners for safety, in case an unexpected kinetic event caused the darn thing to come flying through the windshield. The sign is 29 from point to point across the long axis, and 22 up and down the short axis and weighs 8 lb. This is a high quality, heavy steel remake that has the same high gloss and is indistinguishable from the original early 1910s porcelain sign. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection. This one will make even the most discerning collector stick their nose into the sign, as it looks that good from that close! I can of course make these signs with any city names of your choice, and not just this style, even the classic US and state route markers, and the mileage and direction guide signs, from the era. Anything you would like, made with unsurpassed quality right here in the good old US of A. Figure about 10 lb. The watermark and bear logo in the design preview will not appear on the actual sign. We have begun adding a watermark because we have had problems with other companies copying our artwork to make lesser-quality imitations. You will only get this high level of quality in design and materials from Signs by Jake. Life doesn’t happen along the interstates. It’s against the law.
