Manufactured in 1940s for: (COCA – COLA BOTTLING COMPANY). Genuine Authentic COCA – COLA Sprite Boy (Kay Display) Masonite & Wood Advertising Sign W/ 12 Button. VERY SPECIAL FIND HERE GUYS AND GALS!!! UP FOR SALE IS AN EXTREMELY RARE AND VERY SCARCE ORIGINAL VINTAGE 1940s COCA-COLA SPRITE BOY KAY DISPLAY MASONITE WOOD SIGN WITH 12 PAINTED METAL TIN BUTTON (NOT PORCELAIN). This Item Came Out Of The Dawson’s & Steven’s Coca-Cola Soda Pop Bottle Cap Museum Grayling, Michigan. The sign has brand new screws on both sides of the button and 4 new screws on the backside as well. The wood and masonite are in good condition but the sprite boy decals have some flaking issues along with the grey paint which dripped on it. There is a tiny chip to the bottom of the button edge where the oval hole was at and also a dent on the top middle edge with a tiny spot of paint loss which i have shown you a close up photo of in the very last picture provided. Overall in fair condition but extremely rare to find in “Any” Condition!!! I have not attempted to remove the grey paint drips. 100% THE REAL DEAL – GENUINE AND AUTHENTIC AS THEY COME!!! Vtg Original Sprite Metal Sign 31 1/2 x 27 1/4. It has a few creases that I have not tried to get out as you can see in pictures. The bottle is embossed slightly as you can see from the pictures of the back. This is a very nice sign in good condition. This sign is about 36.5 x 17 x 3 inches. It seems this sign would have hung from the ceiling above a counter and held different sizes of paper bags to. The most wear/fading is to the boy and the word Coke near him, But there is overall wear. The chains will need readjusting. There are things like paperclips that have been used to adjust the length. Here is a great piece that you do not see everyday. On the top left side of the sign there is the wording, “Taste Sprite” in larger lettering with smaller lettering, “Naturally Tart” below. On the right side of the sign there is the graphic of a bottle running from the top to the bottom, and at an angle. The sign is a tin sign with the bottle being embossed, and patruding from the sign. Here is a nice sign that has a few extra nail holes and some light paint ware, and a small chunk of metal missing on the right edge near the neck of the bottle, but as seen in the photos the sign is ready for display. The piece measures 27.25 inches wide and 31.25 inches tall. The Coca Cola company authorized this die-cast model to promote their drink products. This great “SpriteBoy” bicycle is “all-metal” construction and the wheels turn, pedals move the rear tire, and it even steers when you turn the handlebars.
