Unfortunately, said symbol looks just like a particular emblem of an onerous German regime, so the highway signs were quickly revised after World War II broke out. Or the name of the regime. Y’all can figure it out. An original of these is very rare to find scrapped. Most of them have vanished from the back roads of Arizona many years ago, replaced with the modern issue.
