Route 66, of course, needs no introduction-it’s been the historic Mother Road, from John Steinbeck to Bobby Troup, and has arguably become even more famous since its formal decommissioning between 1964 and 1985. 66 has become the ultimate lost highway, the road trip that everyone takes..
