24 by 24 inch New Hampshire state route 1-A highway sign. The sign is made to the 1983 specification which introduced the Old Man of the Mountain design. This style was replaced with the modern black-border style starting around 2001. Condition is as shown in the photos. Sign is screen print on high intensity grade (honeycomb) sheeting on aluminum. It lies almost completely straight and flat, with patina commensurate with its service. Signs guaranteed old, original, authentic. California bear state route 12 road highway sign shield marker 1935 porcelain

15.5 by 17.25 inch California state route 12 highway sign. The sign is made to the original 1934 state specification with no reflectors. The actual date code is sadly obliterated, but most of the original bear route shields were made during the first two years – 1934 and 1935 – as literally every route had to be signed. Condition is as shown in the photos. Sign is black on white porcelain, on steel. It lies almost completely straight and flat, and has patina commensurate with its service and then some possible mishandling at the dump site. It makes no sense to leave such a brilliant relic to the whims of the US Postal Service and their package-losing ways. Signs guaranteed old, original, authentic. 16 inch Iowa state route 150 highway marker. Made to the 1934 specification that replaced cast-iron signs of identical layout and fonts with this embossed style. Iowa used this style of route marker until the early 1950s. Condition is as shown in the photos. Sign is embossed black highlights on white paint on steel. It lies completely straight and flat and has been restored to the correct colors and finish. Signs guaranteed old, original, authentic.
