Made to the exact standards as used by the Automobile Club of Southern California between 1928 and 1934 along the world’s most famous road, including the rarely-seen blue ACSC logo only used in the highway’s early days later issues sported a black logo. Route 66 needs no introduction-it’s been the historic Mother Road, from John Steinbeck to Bobby Troup, and has arguably become even more famous since its formal decommissioning between 1964 and 1985. 66 has become the ultimate lost highway, the road trip that everyone takes.. Get your kicks, on route 66! An original of these is very hard to come by. They were retired from the roads of California long ago, with most of them being destroyed and only a few examples circulating on the collector’s market.
