Arizona Loop 202 brown state highway route marker Phoenix Mesa Chandler 30x24
Arizona Loop 202 route marker. Up for sale today is this Arizona Loop 202 highway sign. Made to the exact 1988 state specification that was in use until the 2000s. The Phoenix beltway loops were originally signed with colored route markers like this-blue for 101, brown for 202, black for 303-at the system’s inception in 1988. Due to problems with the signs fading in the desert sun, they were replaced with the usual black-and-white Arizona markers in the 2000s. An original of these is very rare to find scrapped. Most of them have vanished from the highways of Arizona many years ago, replaced with the modern issue. So here is your chance to own an excellent display piece, without paying an arm and a leg on the collector’s market. The sign is 30 by 24 inches, and weighs 18 lb. This is a high quality, heavy steel sign. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection. This one will make even the most discerning collector stick their nose into the sign, as it looks that good from that close! Please do see my other auctions for quality Arizona Interstate and US route markers! Would you like a number not seen here? Or perhaps a different style? I can of course make these signs with any route number of your choice, and not just this style, but older and newer ones, and even the classic mileage, direction, and city limit guide signs from the era. Anything you would like, made with unsurpassed quality right here in the good old US of A. Life doesn’t happen along the interstates. It’s against the law. Figure about 20 lb. The watermark and bear logo in the design preview will not appear on the actual sign. We have begun adding a watermark because we have had problems with other companies copying our artwork to make lesser-quality imitations. You will only get this high level of quality in design and materials from Signs by Jake.

They were retired from the roads of the Four Corners states long ago, with most of them being destroyed and only a few examples circulating on the collector’s market. An original would easily run many hundreds or even thousands of dollars on the collector’s market. So here’s your chance to get your hands on a fantastic display piece… Without breaking the bank. Arizona State Route 90 route marker. Up for sale today is this Arizona state route 90 sign. Made to the exact 1940 standard, as used between then and the early 1950s in the state. This standard supplants the original 1927-style route marker, which featured the Native American whirling logs symbol. Unfortunately, said symbol looks just like a particular emblem of an onerous German regime, so the highway signs were quickly revised after World War II broke out. Or the name of the regime. Y’all can figure it out. An original of these is very rare to find scrapped. Most of them have vanished from the back roads of Arizona many years ago, replaced with the modern issue. So here is your chance to own an excellent display piece, without paying an arm and a leg on the collector’s market. The sign is 15 by 18 inches, and weighs 6 lb.
