50″ wide x 24″ tall signed C. JERE’71 torch cut metal 4 enamel Butterfly swarm wall art sculpture. Great condition but 1 blue butterfly has come detached, it does still have attached “stem” so you can just hook it anywhere you want. Though the name Curtis Jere is familiar to many as the maker of ebullient and eccentric modern design from the 1960s, many do not know “Curtis Jere” is a pseudonym for the design team of Curtis Freiler and Jerry Fels. Together, the two created some of the most striking and vivid furnishings and decorative objects of the Mid Century era, from sculptures and dynamically framed mirrors, to lighting and wall decorations. New Yorkers Freiler and Fels had collaborated for two decades on small jewelry lines before launching a design company called Artisan House in 1964. They combined variants of their names to create an artful persona which was often shortened to C. Fels served as head of design, and Freiler, known for his keen handiwork, was the production chief. Hello, you are viewing my listing for a Vintage Austin Productions 1966 Sculpture. This sculpture is Signed on the base “Degroot”. This sculpture depicts a Woman & Her Children. This is a large sculpture that weighs 27.4 pounds and measures 45″ Tall by 10″ wide and 10 deep at the base. It is also marked “Austin Prod 1966″ on the base. When you tap it with your finger it gives off a ring like a bell. The bottom base has a few chips which appear to be made of plaster. This is a lovely mid century modern sculpture. There are some chips on the base as well as three small chips on the actual sculpture. This is a must have item for any serious collector. Please view all my photographs for further details. Vintage Abstract Wall Art Sculpture Brutalist Mid Century Modern Jere Style. This wall sculpture set can be displayed any which way or order that you want. The Measurement is about 43″ wide 17″ wide sticks off from the wall about 4. There are no hooks welded to the frame, but if you had two hooks in your wall the frame could rest in the hooks. You could also wrap some picture frame wire around the frame on the back and use that to hang it from a nail on your wall. The piece is signed on the front of one rectangle, Chandler 73.
